Mountains and Plains, Historical Monuments and More - Visit Uzbekistan with an Uzbekistan Visa

Uzbekistan has always enjoyed the distinct reputation of being one of the most unique places in Central Asia. This is one area where you will find plains and mountains, exotic monuments such as palaces, minarets, mosques and others as well as some of the best foods and cuisines of the world. It comes as no surprise then that so many people come to visit Uzbekistan for its charm and grace. In order to get entry into Uzbekistan, you need an Uzbek visa.

Formalities to Be Completed

There are various formalities that need to be completed if you want to get an Uzbekistan visa. First, contact the nearest consulate of Uzbekistan. Then, get the visa application form from them. Then, contact the agency that will handle your Uzbek tours and travels. This agency will be responsible for all associated visa support.

Send them details such as:

  • Your complete name, address, age, gender
  • Employment information such as company name, location, your occupation there etc.
  • Passport details such as passport number, date of issue and date of expiry
  • Information about the location of the consulate from where you obtained the application form
  • Details about the duration of your intended stay in Uzbekistan

The Procedure

Once the agency receives all this information, they will send the documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. The ministry will then approve the application within 10-15 days of receipt of the visa application form. They will then issue a reference number, which is sent along with the form to the consulate. Then the agency sends you the approved letter of invitation along with the reference number as issued by the ministry along with a copy of tourist voucher.

Letter of Invitation

The letter of invitation is a critical element when it comes to getting an Uzbekistan visa. This letter allows you entry and travel within Uzbekistan and is a prerequisite to getting an Uzbek visa. The letter is approved and duly signed by a senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Uzbekistan post, which you receive the visa.

As you can see, it is much more beneficial to contact an agency to perform visa support functions for you because contacting the ministry independently will be a time-consuming and tedious process especially since so many formalities are involved.
