Uzbekistan Visa

Uzbek land is unique part of planet earth

For Uzbekistan having the richest and mainly rarest flora and fauna in the world to conserve biological diversity is one of the hot issues on way of impendent development. The Uzbek (Uzbekistan Visa) community sums up positive results at scientific seminars and meetings of scholars with farmers, cultural workers and students timed to the International Day for Biological Diversity. Uzbekistan joined the Convention on Biological Diversity in 1995, only after three years the document was approved at the United Nations World Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Within its responsibilities the republic developed the national biodiversity strategy and action plan. It indicated strategic tasks to develop network of reserved areas, use rationally natural resources, inform the public and involve the population in biodiversity conservation process. Uzbekistan has more than 27 thousand animal and plant species. Most of them are endemic, i.e. they cannot be found in other parts of the world. Leopard, snow leopard, Turkestan lynx, Bukhara deer, Severtsov wild sheep, golden eagle, saker falcon and barbary falcon are rare fauna species. For better conservation of rare animals and plants the country is developing network of reserves and other preserved lands whose area is to occupy 10% of Uzbekistan's total area. The republic has developed the project of establishing the Nurata-Kizilkum Biosphere Reserve in Samarkand, Navoi and Jizzakh regions. Its total area is nearly 100 thousand ha. The project was prepared by the government of Uzbekistan, UN Development Program and Global Ecology Fund. Uzbekistan Visa Support and Uzbekistan Hotels Reservation. The Nurata-Kizilkum Biosphere Reserve consists of three zones of different operation and management regimes. The first one forbids any economic activity. The second one permits traditional and sparing nature management. Finally, the third one tolerates all economic activities, except environmentally harmful industries. This division is an effective way for conserving biodiversity of local ecosystems, landscapes and the region's historical and cultural values of global importance. The project was promoted to involve local people in nature protection and help them to develop steady nature management methods ensuring stable existence. The Nurata-Kizilkum Biosphere Reserve is a model of Central Asian biodiversity. It has most types of the region's natural complexes: desert, steppe, mountains and lakes. All these things lay on a relatively small area. It possesses a unique and original landscape and flora and fauna. The reserve is the only place in the world to conserve a small flock of Kizilkum sheep or Severtsov wild sheep and endemic sheep species, wild ram. Black vulture, golden eagle, bearded vulture and such venomous snakes as lebetina viper (Levantine Viper) and copperhead snake are rare animals inhabiting in the Nurata-Kizilkum Biosphere Reserve. Flora conservation is of greater importance as well. It includes the most valuable species of apricot, apple, mulberry, walnut, almond and pistachio. Rare herbal and decorative plants also grow here. The local flora includes nearly 1,200 species and over 1,000 of them are endemic. According to the project, the reserve includes existing natural zones of Uzbekistan. It is the Nurata State Reserve having an area of 17 thousand ha for conserving unique ecosystems, fauna and flora of the Nurata Mountains, and district of local lakes for conserving rare species of migrating and nesting swimming birds. The Republic of Uzbekistan is an active participant of many other international projects such as Conservation of Congruence of Rare Cultural Plants. Here researches are funded by the United Nations Environment Program and Global Ecology Fund and International Biodiversity Center in Rome and other well-known scientific institutions participate in them. Uzbekistan takes part in this project aside with Armenia, Bolivia, Madagascar and Sri Lanka because the ancient Uzbek (Uzbekistan Visa) land is a vast concentration of unique biodiversity in the planet earth. We should stress that over 50 fruit species grow in Uzbekistan that is a geographic center for origination of them. Trade caravans, travelers and conquerors delivered cultural plants to other countries and continents of the world. Uzbekistan Visa Support and Uzbekistan Hotels Reservation.
