In order to gain Turkmenistan Visa one needs a visa support letter from an authorized travel agency of Turkmenistan which will take care of travelling schedules and plans. Without this letter one can not get a visa. The official approval for this letter can be obtained within a period of ten days and the State Immigration Service of Turkmenistan takes about twenty five calendar days for the approval. The travel agencies are allowed to extend the visa support for a maximum period of two weeks. There is a wide range of information that is required to be furnished in order to get that visa letter approved. One needs to supply to the travel agent some personal information and some work related information also. For the countries where the Turkmenistan Embassy is not present one can get a visa on the arrival to Turkmenistan at the Ashkabat airport provided one has a valid visa support letter.

There are certain new rules also that have been added by the State Committee for Tourism and Sport of Turkmenistan. Along with the Turkmenistan Visa a Travel Entry Pass will also be issued to the travelers. Another such rule is that every traveler needs to get him or herself registered with the City Tourism Board. The fee for this procedure is around five US dollars. There are different sets of documents that are required for travelers at the time of registration depending upon the mode of travel that is whether they have come by air or by land.

The government of Turkmenistan is also making lot of efforts in order to make the stay of the travelers comfortable. For this purpose many good hotels have come up. One can easily find an accommodation depending upon the budget one has. The climate of Turkmenistan is dry and hot. The summers experience temperature above thirty five degrees so the travel arrangements should be made accordingly. It is very important to have a thorough knowledge of the climatic patterns of a place before going for a vacation to have a more enjoyable trip.
