Uzbekistan Visa
Formalities Needed for Uzbekistan Visa
When you are traveling to Uzbekistan, you need an Uzbek visa to enter the country. To get the visa, you have to complete certain formalities. The easier way to expedite the Uzbekistan visa processing formalities is by going through an agency that specializes in Uzbek tours. In this manner, you save time and hassle of completing the formalities yourself.
Details Required by the Agency
As mentioned earlier, the easiest way to get visa support is by contacting an agency that specializes in Uzbek tours. The agency will typically require certain details such as citizenship, complete name, gender etc. They will also require you to provide details about your passport such as passport number, expiry date on the passport as well as the date on, which the passport was issued. You will also need to furnish the place and date of birth, name of your company, your occupation, location of the company and the duration for, which you wish to stay in Uzbekistan. You also need to mention the location of the consulate of Uzbekistan from where you obtained the visa application form.
Processing
Once the agency receives these above-mentioned details, they will send all these details to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. In just 10-15 days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs approves your visa application form and issues the reference number. These details are then sent back to the consulate of Uzbekistan as you have mentioned in your application. Then, the agency sends the letter of invitation along with the reference number as issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with a copy of tourist voucher that has to be presented to the consulate.
Transit Visas
If your travel involves a transit via Uzbekistan and if you are traveling to another country, including the CIS countries, you need a transit Uzbekistan visa in advance. These kinds of visas are typically issued for a maximum timeframe of 72 hours before departure and will charge 20 dollars for duration of 24 hours, 25 dollars for durations of 48 hours and 30 dollars for a period of 72 hours. If you are traveling via Uzbekistan Airways, you can obtain transit Uzbek visa without going through any visa support procedures. These kinds of transit visas are available in two variants namely single entry, which is valid for 3 days or 72 hours and the double entry variant, which is valid for 3+3 days or 144 hours. You can obtain these visas from an Uzbek consulate within a period of 24 hours of presenting your air ticket for the Uzbekistan Airways scheduled flight.
