Central Asia Travel Uzbekistan Tips Resources and Information
To enter Uzbekistan or when engaging in Central Asia travel, the tourist needs to have a valid Central Asia Visa for this purpose. This Visa can be obtained from the nearest General Consulate or Embassy of Uzbekistan. All tourist visas can be easily obtained once an invitation letter is duly presented and approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Uzbekistan.
Formalities to Be Completed
There are various formalities that need to be completed prior to travel in Uzbekistan. Most operators of Central Asia tours will insist that you send them details pertaining to complete name, sex, citizenship as well as date of passport issue, passport number, expiry date on the passport, place and date of birth, company name, occupation, location of the country, duration of stay within Uzbekistan as well as the place where visa application was sought. These details need to be sent to the local agency that is operating the Uzbekistan tours. Once the agency receives these details, they send them to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after, which within 10-15 days the application is approved, a reference number is issued and sent to the Uzbekistan consulate as mentioned in your application. Then, the invitation letter is sent to you along with the due reference number and tourist voucher copy, which has to be presented within the consulate. The benefit of sending the details to the Uzbekistan tours agency instead of going independently is that it saves you time and hassles of formalities involved.
Special Regulations
There are special regulations pertaining to Central Asia travel for tourists coming from the US. US passport holders who are traveling into Uzbekistan will need to shell out 45 dollars irrespective of how long they intend to stay here. However, there is no need for invitation letter in the case of US citizens. If the person is a citizen of Belgium, Austria, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France, Japan etc. and are applying for tourist visa for a maximum period of 1 month, these persons do not need any invitation letter. However, in such cases, the consulate needs to issue visas within a period of 2 days.
Central Asia travel is becoming increasingly popular with people these days and various visa regulations are being made more flexible in keeping with the larger influx of tourists. There are literally hundreds of Central Asia hotels located here that offer the best in services and food.
