Silk Road: Uzbekistan - News and Events
A "Karavan-saray. Ostanovka Tashkent" photo-exhibition devoted to the cities of the Great Silk Road has opened at the Tashkent Photography House at the Academy of Art of Uzbekistan on November 14, the Uzbekistan National News Agency Russian-language website reported on November 16, 2006.
Here the visitors may observe more than hundred works of masters of photography and variety art ('installation') of Uzbekistan, as well as the masterpieces of photographers from Greece, Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Poland and Azerbaijan.
The Great Silk Road for over the span of centuries has had an important significance on strengthening the economic, cultural and enlightenment ties between many countries. These aspects were reflected in the photographs, works of video art and other.
