Visa

In order to enter Uzbekistan every foreign tourist must have a valid entry visa, to be obtained from the nearest Uzbekistan Embassy or General Consulate. Tourist visas can be obtained upon presenting an Invitation Letter, duly approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan. We provide visa invitation letters free of charge within 7 days after receiving: Copy of the passport, certificate of employment (no need in cases of unemployment or retire) and dates of arrival and departure.

 

Population

The population of Uzbekistan, estimated at about 23 million, is the largest of the Central Asian republics, comprising more than 40 percent of their total population. Growing at a rapid rate, the population is split by ethnic and regional differences. The country is very multinational consisting of many nationalities of all former soviet republics and other foreigners. The main populations are Uzbeks, Russians, Tatars, Tajiks and others.

Language

The state language is Uzbek. Russian language is commonly spoken everywhere in the country. Some people in big cities and touristy destinations can speak and understand English.


Weather

Uzbekistan has an extreme continental climate. It is generally warmest in the south and coldest in the north. Temperatures in December average -8°C (18°F) in the north and 0°C (32 °F) in the south. However, extreme fluctuations can take temperatures as low as -35°C (-31°F). During the summer temperatures can reach 45°C (113°F) and above. Humidity is low. Spring (April to June) and Fall (September through October) are in general the most pleasant times to travel. In Fall it's harvest time, and the markets are full of fresh fruit. If you're interested in trekking, then summer (July and August) is the best time, because summers are almost dry.

Most transactions are conducted on a cash-only, local currency basis. Major credit cards are only accepted at the main hotels and a few shops and restaurants. Weather

Kyrgyzstan has a continental climate with cold winters and warm summers. In the lowlands, the temperature ranges from around -6°C (21°F) in January to 24°C (75°F) in July. In the low-lying Fergana Valley of the south temperatures may peak as high as the low 40s in summer.
In the highlands, the temperatures range from between -20° (-4°F in January to 12°C (54°F) in July, although some high mountain valleys can drop as low as -30°C (-22°F) in winter. Rainfall is fairly low throughout the country but there can be heavy snowfalls during winter. The wettest area is the mountains above the Fergana Valley; the driest, the southwest shore of Lake Issyk-Kul. March to May and October to November are usually the wettest months

Visa

Visas are required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except:
Nationals of Australia, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the USA, who may travel to Kazakhstan without visas between 16 July 2015 and 31 December 2017 for stays of up to 15 days. For longer stays, you must obtain a visa from the embassy. 

 

Population

The ethnic Kazakhs represent 63.1% of the population and ethnic Russians 23.7%, with a rich array of other groups represented, including Tatars (1.3%), Ukrainians (2.1%), Uzbeks (2.8%) and others.

Language


The official language is Kazakh, a Turkic language closely related to Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Turkmen and Turkish. The government has begun to replace the Russian Cyrillic alphabet with the Turkish version of the Roman alphabet. Meanwhile, the Cyrillic alphabet is in general use and most people in the cities can speak Russian, whereas country people tend to only speak Kazakh. English is usually spoken by those involved in tourism. Uygur and other regional languages and dialects are also spoken.

 

Weather

Summers in Kazakhstan are hot and winters are cold. Since Kazakhstan has a vast territory, weather can vary substantially in different parts of the country. For example when sowing season begins in the South, the North might still be covered with thick snow.
Average temperature in the coldest month of winter January is -18,7°С in the North and -1,5°С in the South. Because of dry weather and bright sun, which is common in most parts of Kazakhstan, temperature of -15°С might be felt like only -5° – 0°С in wet weather. Snowy winters are ideal for winter sports activities. Average temperature of the hottest month in summer - July – is +18,8°С in the North and +28,8°С in the South. August and September are perfect for trekking in the mountains of the East and South-East Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a sunny country, some regions enjoy the sun up to 330 days a year, and the sky here is almost always bright blue.

Temperatures in the desert in summer can reach 50°C (122°F) during the day before falling rapidly at night. During the winter, it can reach -10° to -15°C (14° to 15°F).

Population
Tajikistan has a population of 7,349,145 (July 2009 est.) Tajiks who speak Tajik (a dialect of Persian) are the main ethnic group, although there are sizable minorities of Uzbeks and Russians.

 

Language

The official and vernacular language of Tajikistan is Tajik although Russian is routinely used in business and communication. The Constitution mentioned Russian as the "language for inter-ethnic communication", but an amendment passed in 2009 removed all Russian's official roles.



Weather

In Dushanbe, temperatures vary between a minimum -13°C (8°F) in December/January to a maximum 33°C (91°F) in July/August. Humidity is generally low. In the mountains, it can reach -45°C (-49°F) when the wind chill factor is taken into consideration, and rise to 20°C (68°F) in summer. In the Pamir Mountains, the climate is semi-arid to polar.
